The Pool Billard Club Düren-Nord 1980 eV (short: PBC Düren-Nord ) is a billiard club from Düren founded in 1980 .

history

The PBC Düren-Nord was founded in 1980. In the 1983/84 season he won the German 8-Ball Cup in the final against 1. PBC Berlin 76 . In the 1995/96 season, the club again reached the final of the 8-Ball Cup, but lost to PSG Erkelenz . Two years later they won the competition again against the PBC Friedenau Berlin . In the 1st Bundesliga the PBC Düren-Nord reached third place in the 2003/04 season . After finishing fifth in 2005 , seventh place followed in the 2005/06 season and thus relegation to the 2nd Bundesliga . There the club succeeded in the 2006/07 season in sixth place, one point ahead of relegated Lütgendortmund , the relegation, before relegation to the league followed in the 2007/08 season with eighth place. A year later, the club rose directly to the association league. After the 2009/10 season, however, the team was canceled.

As a player in the PBC Düren-Nord, Thomas Engert was German individual champion six times and European individual champion four times between 1991 and 2004 . Wolfgang Romich became German champion in 1992 . In addition, Karl Braun , Jörg Gutowski , Andreas Vondenhoff and Rudi Zick played for PBC Düren-Nord.
