Günther von Hohnhorst

Günther Karl Adolf von Hohnhorst (born May 19, 1863 in Fallingbostel , † October 4, 1936 in Eldingen / Hohnhorst ) was a German administrative officer and manor owner.

Life

origin

His parents were the Prussian district administrator Bruno von Hohnhorst (1822–1886) and his wife Eleonore, née Freiin von Vincke (1831–1906), a daughter of the reformer Ludwig von Vincke . The later Lieutenant General Ernst von Hohnhorst (1865–1940) was his younger brother.

Career

Günther von Hohnhorst studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1884 he became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. As a result, he became a government assessor with the government in Köslin . From 1898 to 1918 he was District Administrator of the district Pomerania . Then he was senior president. Most recently, he was senior president a. D. and Fideikommissowner on his estate in Hohnhorst in the Celle district and was chivalrous syndic of the Principality of Lüneburg .

family

Hohnhorst married Gabriele Freiin von Oldershausen (1873–1905) on June 1, 1904 . The son Jürgen (* 1905) emerged from the marriage.
