The 1st PBC Fulda (officially: 1st Pool Billard Club Fulda 1990 eV ) was a pool club from Fulda . He was four times German champion and twice European champion.

history

The 1st PBC Fulda was founded in 1990. In 1999 he was the first German champion in the 1st Bundesliga . This succeeded again four years later. The club was able to defend this title in 2004 with nine points ahead of Joker Geldern . In the same year they were also club European champions in the final against PBV Anderten . A year later followed the final defeat against the Italian club Mari Club, and the third place for the second team. In 2006 the 1st PBC Fulda was again European champion in the final against the Polish SSA Trefl Sopot. With two European Championship titles and a second place, the PBC Fulda is the most successful team at the European Club Championships. In the Bundesliga, the club finished second behind BSV Dachau in 2005 and 2006 . In the 2006/07 season the 1st PBC Fulda won its last championship title. In 2008 the club came sixth in the Bundesliga and was dissolved a little later due to financial problems.

In 2003 , Thorsten Hohmann was the first player in the 1st PBC Fulda to become German individual champions . Holger Gries became the German senior champion in 2005 . In addition, Ralph Eckert , Dieter Johns , Martin Poguntke , Nico Wehner and Christian Weigoni played at PBC Fulda, Michael Wahl was a coach there for a long time.

In August 2008, a billiards department was founded at SG Johannesberg , to which several former players of the 1st PBC Fulda moved. For the 2008/09 season this took over the top division starting place for the second team of the PBC Fulda.
