The second team of the BSV Dachau played after relegation in the 2001/02 season for six years in the fourth division before returning to the league in the 2007/08 season with first place in the regional league. As third placed in the major league in 2008/09, the team did not qualify for the newly introduced regional league and continued to play in the fourth-class league. After only narrowly missing out on promotion to the regional league in 2010 and 2012 as runner-up, relegation to the association league followed in the 2012/13 season with eighth place. There they reached the first place with four points ahead of the PBC Erding and only one defeat the direct promotion. In the 2014/15 season, the team took second place in the major league and was then able to prevail in the promotion games to the regional league. In the following season she came in the Regionalliga, two points behind the PBC Bad Saulgau , in second place.

In the 2016/17 season, the team initially missed promotion again as second place behind BC Sindelfingen with equal points . Since the BC Queue Hamburg withdrew its second team in the league, the Dachau received another promotion opportunity in July 2017. In the relegation against the runner-up in the regional leagues North and East, they prevailed against BV Bergedorf (4: 3) and Adler Berlin (4: 1) and were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time .

Personalities

The BSV Dachau is the home club of European and Germany coach Andreas Huber , the first board member of the club. Among other things, Huber is known for his work on the PAT DVDs and books.

The first team is made up of top-class individual players: Manuel Ederer, Benjamin Heimmerer, Dominic Jentsch and Valery Kuloyants who all have various individual successes in the national and international field. Due to the radical rejuvenation of the first team in the 2010/2011 season, the average age was even less than 20 years.

The multiple world and European champion Ralf Souquet has also been a member of the billiards sports club since April 2012 and caused a surprise in the billiards community with the surprising transfer.

With the "Pooligans", the BSV Dachau is the first billiards club in the world to have an organized fan club that supports the first team in home and away games.

Youth work

The Dachau Billiards Club is particularly characterized by youth work. By consistently promoting young talent in youth training and targeted support of outstanding talents from the Munich area, the club has already produced some sustainably successful youth players. This is also supported by the extremely low average age in the first two teams. In 2011, for example, the association was awarded the DOSB Green Belt for exemplary promotion of talent in the association.
