After finishing third in 2012 , they finished second in 2013 - six points behind Fortuna Straubing . In 2014 the PBC Sankt Augustin finished third and in 2015 fifth. In the 2015/16 season , the club secured first place on the penultimate match day with a draw against BSG Osnabrück and thus promotion to the 1st Bundesliga .

In the summer of 2016, the reigning German champion Joshua Filler switched from PBC Schwerte 87 to the 1st PBC Sankt Augustin. In November he was the first club member to win a German championship . A few weeks later he left the PBC Sankt Augustin but returned in 2018 and became individual world champion in the 9-ball category that same year . In its first Bundesliga season , the club started with six defeats. His first Bundesliga win came on the last day of the first half of the season when he won the home game against BC Oberhausen 6-2. He then remained unbeaten for four more games in a row and was not relegated for the first time after the eleventh game day. However, the last three games of the season were lost again, so that he fell back to the bottom of the table. The relegation to the second division was determined after a defeat against the direct competitor Karben on the thirteenth match day. In the 2017/18 season , the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga South resulted in a direct return to the 1st Bundesliga. The second season in the club's history in the top German division started with a 4: 4 against BC Oberhausen, after the 8th matchday the club was at the top of the table for the first time. With a 6-2 win against BSV Dachau on matchday 13, the team secured the German championship for the first time.
