history

In 2008 the tournament was held for the first time to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1st PBC Sankt Augustin . Originally planned as a one-off tournament, the organizers were so popular that the tournament was repeated in the following years. The concept of the tournament is the presence and participation of legends of pool sports such as Mike Sigel (2009 and 2016), Francisco Bustamante (2010), Nick Varner (2011 and 2013), Earl Strickland (2012), Efren Reyes (2013) and Johnny Archer ( 2014 and 2016). In 2015 there was a new edition of the Hong Kong Challenge from 1996, which was a match between Efren Reyes and Earl Strickland.

The dominant player of the tournament is Niels Feijen from the Netherlands , who won four editions. In 2015, however, he was unable to defend his title due to the World Cup of Pool taking place at the same time .
