Martin Poguntke (born June 3, 1962 ) is a German pool player .

Career

At the German championship in 1988 Martin Poguntke was fourth in the 9-ball . In January 1994 he won a Euro Tour medal for the first time with third place at the Austrian Open . In 1999 he reached third place in 8-ball at the German championship , and in 2001 he was fifth in 9-ball. In the same year he also won his second and so far last medal at the Euro Tour tournaments with bronze at the Lichtenstein Open . In May 2002 Poguntke took 33rd place at the IBC Nanki Classic and a few weeks later came 17th at the IBC Munich Open. At the German championship in 2003 he reached third place in 14/1 and in 8-ball, and in 2004 he won the bronze medal in 14/1. In 2005 and 2006 Poguntke finished fifth in the 14/1 endless. In 2014 he reached the quarter-finals in the 14/1 endless at the German Senior Championship .

With the 1st PBC Fulda Poguntke became German champion in 2003 and 2004 and European club champion in 2004. He currently plays with PBSG Wolfsburg in the 2nd Bundesliga .
