Roy Gerards (born June 27, 1989 ) is a Dutch pool player .

Career

At the European Youth Championships in 2005 , Roy Gerards won the bronze medal in the pupils' 9-ball . A year later he reached the final in the 14/1 endless of the juniors, but was defeated there by the Englishman Mathew Lawrenson . In August 2008 Gerards took part in the men's European championship for the first time and reached 49th place in 8-ball and 9-ball. In September 2009, he made it into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Netherlands Open . In the quarterfinals he was eliminated against the Englishman Imran Majid . In July 2011 Gerards was ninth at the Longoni Benelux Open.

Gerards has been playing for the German second division Joker Geldern since 2014 .

In 2008 he reached the second round of the World Cup of Pool together with Gijs van Helmond .
