Rolf Alex is a German pool player . In 1995 he became vice European champion in 14/1 endless and in 1999 German champion in 8-ball .
Career
After finishing second in 8-ball at the European Junior Championships in 1985 , Alex won an endless medal at the German men's championship for the first time in 1988 with silver in 14/1 . At the European Championships in 1995 , Alex reached the final, but lost it to Ralf Souquet , who became European champion in all three disciplines that year. A year later, he came third in the 9-ball world championship . In 1999 he became German 8-ball champion . In 2000 he won his last medal at a German championship with bronze in 8-ball.
With the PBC Karlsruhe , Alex became German 8-ball team champion in 1989 and German champion in the newly introduced pool table league in 1991 and 1993 . He played there with Waldemar Markert and Norbert Lang in a team.
With the German national team he was European champion in 1985 .
