Alexander Dremsizis (born August 2, 1977 in Kiel ) is a German pool player .

Career

In 1993, Dremsizis was the first German youth champion and vice European student champion in 14/1 for the first time . A year later he became German youth champion in 9-ball . He was also junior European champion in 9-ball singles and with the team. At the Junior World Championships he moved into the finals in 1994 and was defeated by the Norwegian Jørn Kjølaas . In 1995 he was again German youth champion and junior European champion in 9-ball . He also finished ninth in the Junior World Championship.

At the German championship in 1997 , Dremsizis won his first men's medal with bronze in 9-ball. A year later he was only ninth in 8-ball and 9-ball. After a few years at German championships he had not occupied the top places, he won the 8-ball trophy in 2006 and finished fifth in the 14/1 endless.

At the 8-ball world championship in 2007 he reached the last sixteen, in which he was eliminated by Niels Feijen . In April 2007 he moved into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Italy Open . However, he lost to Marco Tschudi in the round of 32 . At the German championship in 2007 he won the gold medal in the 9-ball and silver in the 14/1 endless and in the 8-ball cup competition. In 2008 he was in the final against John Blacklaw German champion in 14/1 endless. He also won the 8-ball trophy and the silver medal in the 9-ball. A year later he reached the quarter-finals in 9-ball and lost it 9:11 against Christian Weigoni .

With the Kieler Billard Union , Dremsizis was German team champion in 1997 and 1998 . In 1998 he also won the European Team Cup with Kiel.

In the 2014/15 season he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga with BC Queue Hamburg .
