The Kieler Billard Union eV is a pool club founded in 1989 from Kiel . He became German champion in 1997 and 1998 .
history
The Kieler Billard Union was founded on May 26th, 1989 as 1. Kieler Pool-Billard-Club eV . At times the association had over 80 members. In April 1990 the club was billiards -Landesmeister Schleswig-Holstein and was thus able to qualifying for the first season of the 1. Bundesliga participate. The club finally qualified for the Bundesliga and reached eighth place out of twenty teams. After the Kieler Billard Union was third in the Bundesliga in 1995 and 1996, it reached first place in the following two seasons; 1997 in front of the PBC Friedenau Berlin , 1998 in front of the BSC Ingolstadt , the German champions from 1995 and 1996. In the 1998/99 season they became runner- up, one point behind the 1st PBC Fulda . A few years later, the club rose to the 2nd Bundesliga and finally from this.
In the 2009/10 season, the Kieler Billard Union achieved second place in the major league and was promoted to the regional league, in which it reached third place in 2012. Then you announced the regional league team but returned and returned to the league. After the club had finished second there in the 2012/13 season, he announced the team from the major league and took over the starting position of the second team in the association league. In 2016, they rose to the league as runner-up in the association league.
Two players of the Kieler Billard Union became German champions in the individual ; Monja Kielhorn won the women's 14/1 endless title in 1993 , Susanne Bahnsen in 1997 in the 9-ball . Kielhorn also became European champion in the 14/1 in 1996 endless. Francisco Bustamante was German 9-ball champion in 1994 and 1995 . In 2011 Andreas Rogowski won the senior title in the 10-ball. Other well-known members of the association included Alexander Dremsizis and Christian Reimering .
