Marco Tschudi (born May 28, 1981) is a Swiss pool player . In 2006 he became Vice European Champion .

Career

In 1997 Tschudi won bronze in the pupils' 9-ball at the European Youth Championship . In September 2002, he finished ninth in the IBC US Championship. In 2004 he became Swiss champion in the men's 9-ball . At the 9-ball world championship of the same year he came in 65th place. At the EM 2006 , Tschudi reached the 9-ball final, but lost to the German Ralf Souquet . In May of the same year he reached the last sixteen at the Germany Open and 13th at the BCA Open. In November 2006 he reached the sixteenth finals of the 9-Ball World Cup and was eliminated from Konstantin Stepanow . At the Spain Open in December he was defeated by the Austrian Martin Kempter in the quarter-finals . In April 2007 Tschudi won his first Euro Tour medal at the Italy Open after losing to the eventual winner of the tournament, Christian Reimering , in the semifinals . At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2007 he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Alain Martel .

In February 2008 Tschudi reached the semi-finals of the French Open and lost there to Reimering. At the EM 2008 he came in 17th place in both 14/1 endless and 9-ball. At the 10-Ball World Cup, however, he was eliminated in the preliminary round. In August 2009 Tschudi won a tournament on the South East Open Tour in Spring Hill . In 2010 he finished third at the Gstaad Swiss Open and the Benelux Open. In January 2010 Tschudi won a tournament on the Lone Star Billiards Tour in Houston . At the Paris Open 2012 he was fifth.

In the 2008/09 season Marco Tschudi became German champion with BC Sindelfingen and together with Benjamin Baier and Jörn Kaplan took first place in the individual ranking.

Together with Dimitri Jungo , Tschudi formed the Swiss team twice at the World Cup of Pool . They reached the quarter-finals in 2007 and the second round in 2008 . With the Swiss national team, Tschudi reached the quarter-finals of the team world championship in 2010 .
