Benjamin Baier (* 1986 in Konstanz ) is a German pool player .

Career

At the age of thirteen, Benjamin Baier started playing billiards at BSV Konstanz . At the German Youth Championship in 2004 he was ninth in the 8-ball and 9-ball of the A-Juniors. In October 2006, he made it into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Swiss Open . In the sixteenth finals, however, he was eliminated against the Czech Roman Hybler . In the same year he also won the German Grand Prix in Sindelfingen . At the German championship in 2007 , he reached fifth place in 9-ball. In August 2010 he reached the round of 16 of the Finland Open, where he lost to the Englishman Karl Boyes . In May 2014, Baier came third in the Deurne City Classic one-pocket competition .

After graduating from Heinrich-Suso-Gymnasium in Konstanz , Benjamin Baier switched to PP Böblingen in 2005 and played with him in the Baden-Württemberg League for two years. After he had played with the PBC Aalen in the league in the 2007/08 season , he moved to the Bundesliga club BC Sindelfingen , with whom he was German champion in the 2008/09 season . Baier and his teammates Jörn Kaplan and Marco Tschudi took first place in the individual ranking with 22: 6 games. In the 2009/10 season , Baier played with BC Feuersee in the 2nd Bundesliga and then with PBC Aalen in the Regionalliga. In the summer of 2011, Baier moved to BV Fortuna Straubing . With this he was second in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2012 , where he achieved first place in the individual ranking. In 2013 , the second division championship was followed by promotion to the first division. There, Baier and Fortuna Straubing came in third place in the 2013/14 season and fourth place in 2014/15 .
