German pool championship 1997
The German pool championship in 1997 was the 23rd event to determine the national championship title for men in the pool version of pool . It was held in Schaafheim . The German champions in the disciplines 14/1 endless , 8-ball , 9-ball and 8-ball cup were determined.

The 32 players who qualified through the state championships of the national billiards associations initially played in the double knockout system . From the quarterfinals onwards, the game was played in the knockout system .
