The McDonald's Burnie International 2011 was the ninth edition of the hard court tennis tournament in Burnie . It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011 and was held outdoors from January 31 to February 5, 2011.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. For the individual competition there was a qualifying round with 16 players, through which four players could qualify for the main field. The event's total prize pool was $ 50,000.

The winner of the individual competition was the unseeded Italian Flavio Cipolla , who benefited from an injury to his Australian opponent Chris Guccione in the final . Wildcard owner Guccione could not make it to the final, which meant that Cipolla was declared the winner without a fight. It was Cipolla's fifth single career Challenger title and his first of the season.

In doubles, Canadians Philip Bester and Peter Polansky won the final against unseeded Australians Marinko Matosevic and Jose Statham in a competitive tie- breaker match . Bester and Polansky only came into the main draw of the doubles competition as replacements after the injury-related cancellation of another double. It was the second career success for both of them in a double tournament in the Challenger category and the first of the season. They also achieved their previous title together.
