Pavol Červenák (born July 1, 1987 in Bratislava ) is a former Slovak tennis player .

life and career

Červenák started playing tennis at the age of six. In 2013 he won a doubles title for the first time on the second-rate Challenger Tour , and has already won several titles on the third-rate ITF Future Tour . He played for the first time on the ATP World Tour in Zagreb in 2008 . After successfully qualifying, he failed in the opening round to Gilles Simon in two sets. He achieved his best result in both 2011 and 2012 at the tournament in Stuttgart , when he reached the quarter-finals as a qualifier. In 2012 he managed, among other things, a victory against the favored Tommy Haas . He lost both times in the quarter-finals to an Argentine: in 2011 against Federico Delbonis , who also qualified as a qualifier, and in 2012 against the eventual tournament winner Juan Mónaco . In Grand Slam tournaments , he never got beyond the qualifying rounds. 2015 Červenák played a professional tournament for the last time.

From 2007 Červenák played for the Slovak Davis Cup team , in which he was used in two matches.
