The MercedesCup 2011 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 11th to 17th, 2011 in Stuttgart . It was part of the 2011 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week, the SkiStar Swedish Open was played in Båstad , which, like the MercedesCup, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Albert Montañés , who was eliminated in the round of 16 this year. Even before the quarter-finals, all eight seeded players were eliminated. The last time this happened was in April 2009 in Houston at an ATP tournament. The winner was Juan Carlos Ferrero , who only played his third tournament of the season in Stuttgart due to an injury. In the final he prevailed against his compatriot Pablo Andújar . This was Ferrero's first season and sixteenth career title. In doubles Carlos Berlocq and Eduardo Schwank were the defending champions, but they did not compete this year. This year's winners were Jürgen Melzer and Philipp Petzschner , who defeated the Spanish doubles Marcel Granollers and Marc López . The win in Stuttgart was the duo's second title of the season and their fourth joint title.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 32 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was 398,250 euros; the total financial liabilities were 450,000 euros.
