The SA Tennis Open 2011 was a tennis tournament that took place from January 31 to February 6, 2011 in Johannesburg . It was part of the 2011 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Movistar Open was played in Santiago de Chile and the PBZ Zagreb Indoors in Zagreb , which, like the Movistar Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Feliciano López , but this year he was eliminated in the first round. Kevin Anderson won in three sets in the final against Somdev Devvarman and secured his first ATP title in front of a home crowd. In doubles, Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi were the defending champions, but they did not compete this year. In this year's final, James Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin beat the top seeded Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram and thus won their first joint ATP title.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 32 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. Total prize money was $ 442,500 and total financial liabilities were $ 500,000.
