The Erste Bank Open 2011 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 24th to 30th, 2011 in Vienna . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2011 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week the St. Petersburg Open was played in St. Petersburg , which, like the Erste Bank Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the individual was Jürgen Melzer , but he was eliminated in the quarter-finals. The winner was the top seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga , who defeated the second seeded Juan Martín del Potro in the final and was able to book his seventh career title. Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjić won the doubles title last year , but they no longer competed together. Nestor made it back to the final together with Max Mirny , but lost to the top seeded twins Bob and Mike Bryan , who celebrated their 74th joint title.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 575,250 euros; the total financial liabilities were 650,000 euros.
