Defending champion in the singles was Michail Juschny , but this year he was eliminated in the second round. In this year's final, local hero Florian Mayer played against Nikolai Dawydenko , who had already won the title in 2004. The Russian Dawydenko won the final 6: 3, 3: 6 and 6: 1. Oliver Marach and Santiago Ventura won the doubles title last year, but they did not defend their title.
