The BMW Open 2019 (officially: BMW Open by FWU AG ) was a tennis tournament that took place in Munich from April 29 to May 5, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week, the Millennium Estoril Open was played in Estoril , which, like the BMW Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in singles was Alexander Zverev , in doubles the duo Ivan Dodig and Rajeev Ram played this role.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 524,340 euros; the total financial liabilities were 586,140 euros.

The qualification took place on April 27 and 28, 2019. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
