Denys Petrowytsch Moltschanow ( Ukrainian Денис Петрович Молчанов , English transcription: Denys Molchanov ; born May 16, 1987 in Chișinău , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a tennis player who competed for the Republic of Moldova until 2006 and since then for the Ukraine .

life and career

Molchanov started playing tennis when he was seven. In addition to countless future titles, he was able to achieve his first successes on the ATP Challenger Tour . Moltschanow has so far recorded a total of eight tournament wins in doubles. In 2012 he made his debut in doubles at the Australian Open , but was eliminated in the first round at Oleksandr Dolhopolov's side . He had already made his debut on the ATP World Tour before , when he was again in the main round of the doubles competition with Dolgopolow in Brisbane . But here, too, the two were eliminated in the opening round.

Molchanov has played for the Ukrainian Davis Cup team since 2003 .
