Hans Hach Verdugo (born November 11, 1989 in Culiacán ) is a Mexican tennis player .

Career

Hach Verdugo played a few matches on the ITF Junior Tour at the beginning of his career, where he finished 250th in 2017. In the same year he also played on the ITF Future Tour for the first time . After that, however, he did not play any more tournaments until mid-2012.

From 2013 onwards, the Mexican played his way up the world rankings . By the end of 2016, he had won 18 future titles, only one of which was won individually. The year 2016 he finished 1090 in singles and 223 in doubles. Accordingly, he also celebrated greater successes in doubles: In Dallas , in 2015 he reached a Challenger final and several semi -finals with Luis Patiño for the first time . He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in 2016 thanks to a wildcard in Los Cabos . In doubles he lost to Patiño Nicolás Almagro and Marcelo Demoliner in straight sets.

In September 2018 he won his first double title on the Challenger Tour. In Tiburon he played with Luke Saville as a qualifier up to the final. There they won clearly in straight sets against the Spanish pairing Gerard Granollers and Pedro Martínez . With this success he improved to 160th place, his best place in the world rankings.

Hach Verdugo has been playing for the Mexican Davis Cup team since 2016 , for which he has a 3-1 record.
