Pierre-Ludovic Duclos-Lasnier (born January 8, 1986 in Québec ) is a retired Canadian tennis player .

Career

Pierre-Ludovic Duclos began playing first tournaments on the ITF Future Tour in 2003 . In the following years he was mainly on the Future Tour and the higher-class ATP Challenger Tour . On the Future Tour he was able to win four singles and 16 doubles. His first title win on the Challenger Tour came in 2006. Together with André Ghem , he won the tournament in Mexico City . The following year he made his debut at the Canada Masters on the ATP Tour . He and his partner Philip Bester received a wildcard for the double field, but dropped out in the first round.

Two years later he received another wildcard for the double field of the Rogers Cup . At the side of Frank Dancevic he managed to move into the second round, in which they lost to Łukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach . 2010 was a very successful year for Duclos. He was able to secure the Challenger titles in Manta and Winnetka with Ryler DeHeart and in August he won his third title of the year in Beijing alongside Artem Sitak . He also made his single debut on the ATP World Tour by entering the Rogers Cup with a wildcard . There he met the qualifier Lu Yen-hsun in his opening match , to whom he had to admit defeat in two sets.

The following year he reached in Guadalajara for the only time a single final on the Challenger Tour, which he lost to Paul Capdeville . He celebrated his greatest success on the World Tour in Winston-Salem . He moved into the second round of the main field as a lucky loser for the seeding list sixth Kevin Anderson . There he defeated the American Ryan Harrison and was thus in the second round, which he lost to Robin Haase . In September he celebrated his last double success on the Challenger Tour with a win in Bangkok . In 2012 he was able to qualify for the tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch , but was eliminated in the first round against the top seeded Spaniard and eventual tournament winner David Ferrer . His last appearance on the professional tour was the qualification for the Challenger in Rio de Janeiro . His best placement in singles was a 229th place in 2012. In doubles, he scraped 121st place in the top 100 in the world rankings .

In 2013, Duclos was arrested in Florida after sending sexual pictures to a 13-year-old girl and trying to meet her in order to have sexual contact with her. He confessed to all charges and was sentenced to six years in prison. He is currently serving his sentence in Florida.
