The Abierto Mexicano Telcel 2019 was a tennis tournament held in Acapulco from February 25 to March 2, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Brasil Open were played in São Paulo and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in Dubai . The latter, like the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the Brasil Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in singles was Juan Martín del Potro , in doubles the pairing of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares won the title twice in a row.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 1,780,060; total financial liabilities were $ 1,931,110.

The qualification took place on February 23 and 24, 2019. Four qualifier places were played out in singles and one place in doubles, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
