The Rio Open 2019 (officially: Rio Open presented by Claro ) was a tennis tournament that took place in Rio de Janeiro from February 20 to 26, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week, the Open 13 was played in Marseille and the Delray Beach Open in Delray Beach . Both belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category , while the Rio Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

Diego Schwartzman was the defending champion in singles, while David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco won doubles last year.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 1,786,690; total financial liabilities were $ 1,937,740.
