The Rio Open 2014 was a tennis tournament that took place in Rio de Janeiro from February 17 to 23, 2014 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2014 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week the Open 13 was played in Marseille and the Delray Beach Open in Delray Beach . Both belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category , while the Rio Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The tournament took place for the third time after the two events in 1989 and 1990.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

qualification

Qualification for the Rio Open 2014 took place on February 15 and 16, 2014. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
