The Open 13 2014 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 17 to 23, 2014 in Marseille . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2014 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week, the Rio Open and Delray Beach the Delray Beach Open were played in Rio de Janeiro . The latter, like the Open 13, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category , while the Rio Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The defending champion Jo-Wilfried Tsonga played his way into the final again this year, but ultimately failed in two sets against Ernests Gulbis from Latvia . Rohan Bopanna and Colin Fleming won the doubles title last year . This year the title went to the local duo Julien Benneteau and Édouard Roger-Vasselin , who defeated the duo Pau Hanley and Jonathan Marray in three sets in the final.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.

qualification

The qualification for the Open 13 2014 took place from February 15th to 17th, 2014. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
