The Brisbane International 2014 was a tennis tournament , the December 30, 2013 to January 5, 2014 in Brisbane took place. It was part of the 2014 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Qatar ExxonMobil Open was played in Doha and the Aircel Chennai Open in Chennai , which, like the Brisbane International, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category . The women's tournament of the WTA Tour 2014 also took place in Brisbane .

Defending champion in the singles was the Briton Andy Murray , who defeated the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the final. In doubles, Marcelo Melo and Tommy Robredo won the last event.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

qualification

Qualification for the Brisbane International 2014 took place December 28-30, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
