The 2014 BB&T Atlanta Open was a tennis tournament that took place in Atlanta from July 21-27, 2014 . It was part of the 2014 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Vegeta Croatia Open Umag and Gstaad the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad were played in Umag , which, like the BB&T Atlanta Open, belong to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.

qualification

Qualification for the BB&T Atlanta Open 2014 took place from July 19-21, 2014. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. In addition, three lucky losers advanced into the main field.
