Robert "Robby" Louis Ginepri (born October 7, 1982 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ) is a retired American tennis player .

Career

He won the Newport ATP tournament in 2003 and the Indianapolis tournament in 2005 and 2009 . His best result in a Grand Slam tournament was the entry into the semifinals of the US Open 2005 , which he lost to Andre Agassi . He achieved his best placement in the world rankings with rank 15 on December 26, 2005. Shortly before the 2015 US Open , he ended his career.

He also caused a stir when he became the first player to wear a sleeveless shirt at Wimbledon in 2003.
