The BB&T Atlanta Open 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place in Atlanta from July 22nd to 28th, 2013 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week were in Umag , the ATP Vegeta Croatia Open and in Gstaad , the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad played, like the BB & T Atlanta Open at just the category ATP World Tour 250 counted.

Defending champion in the singles was Andy Roddick , who has now ended his professional career. Matthew Ebden and Ryan Harrison won the doubles title last year. While Harrison played at the side of his brother Christian Harrison that year , Ebden no longer took part in the tournament.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.

qualification

Qualification for the BB&T Atlanta Open 2013 took place from July 20-22, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
