The BMW Open 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 29 to May 5, 2013 in Munich . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played on clay court. In the same week, the Portugal Open was played in Oeiras , which, like the BMW Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in singles was the two-time winner Philipp Kohlschreiber and in doubles the pairing František Čermák and Filip Polášek .

The single winner was Tommy Haas with a two-set win in the final against the two-time champion Philipp Kohlschreiber. This was Haas' first tournament win in 2013 and the 14th overall. The winners in doubles were the pairing Jarkko Nieminen and Dmitri Tursunow , who prevailed in the final against Marcos Baghdatis and Eric Butorac .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.

The qualification for the BMW Open 2013 took place from April 27 to 29, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
