The BMW Open 2018 (officially: BMW Open by FWU AG ) was a tennis tournament that took place in Munich from April 30 to May 6, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week, the TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Open was played in Istanbul and the Millennium Estoril Open in Estoril , which, like the BMW Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in singles was Alexander Zverev , in doubles the pairing was Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 501,345 euros; the total financial liabilities were 561,345 euros.

The qualification took place on April 29th and 30th, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
