The 2018 Shenzhen Open was a tennis tournament held in Shenzhen from September 25th to October 1st, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Chengdu Open was played in Chengdu , which, like the Shenzhen Open, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

The qualification took place on September 22-23, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
