Zhang Zhizhen ( Chinese  张 之 臻 ; born October 16, 1996 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese tennis player .

Career

Zhang mainly plays on the ITF Future Tour and the ATP Challenger Tour . On the former he won a title each in singles and doubles.

In 2015 he made his ATP World Tour debut at the Shenzhen Open . After surviving qualification, he won in the opening round 6: 4, 6: 4 against the Japanese Gō Soeda , before he was defeated in the second round to Jiří Veselý in two sets. A week later he played at the Shanghai Rolex Masters alongside Wu Di , with whom he lost to David Goffin / Dominic Thiem in two sets.

In 2017 he made his debut for the Chinese Davis Cup team .
