The Chengdu Open 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place in Chengdu from September 24-30, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Shenzhen Open was played in Shenzhen , which like the Chengdu Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place from September 22 to 23, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
