Tseng Chun-hsin ( Chinese  曾俊 欣 , Pinyin Zēng Jùnxīn , born August 8, 2001 ) is a Taiwanese tennis player .

Career

Tseng started playing tennis at the age of five and his idol is the Japanese Kei Nishikori . In November 2017, Tseng, who is coached by his father, became Asian-Oceanian junior champion after beating South Korean Park Ui-sung in the final. As a junior player, he achieved his highest ranking on June 11, 2018 with number one in the ITF junior world rankings after winning the junior tournament of the French Open . In the same year he also won the competition at Wimbledon and reached the final of the Australian Open . In 2018, he was the first player since Gaël Monfils to reach the final of three Junior Grand Slam tournaments in 2004 . At the US Open he failed one match earlier in the semifinals against Thiago Seyboth Wild .

Tseng achieved his highest placement in the world ranking of professionals on September 17, 2018 with place 473, after he had already won three tournaments on the ITF Future Tour . Tseng has also been part of the Taiwanese Davis Cup team since 2018 . He made his debut on February 4, 2018 in Continental Group II in the playoff game against Lebanon. He won his match against Michael Saade in straight sets 6-0 and 6-0.
