The Tata Maharashtra Open 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place in Pune from January 1st to 6th, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Brisbane International was played in Brisbane and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha , which, like the Tata Maharashtra Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Roberto Bautista Agut was the defending champion in the singles. Rohan Bopanna and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan won doubles last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place on December 30th and 31st, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
