The Tata Maharashtra Open 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Pune from December 31, 2018 to January 5, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Brisbane International was played in Brisbane and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha , which, like the Tata Maharashtra Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Gilles Simon was the defending champion in the singles. Robin Haase and Matwé Middelkoop won doubles last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place on December 29th and 30th, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
