The Hungarian Open 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Budapest from April 22nd to 28th, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell was played for the 66th time in Barcelona , which, in contrast to the Hungarian Open, which only belonged to the ATP World Tour 250, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players got a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 524,340 euros; the total financial liabilities were 586,140 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place on April 21 and 22, 2019. Four qualifying places were played in the individual competition, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There were also four lucky losers.
