Miomir Kecmanović started playing tennis at the age of six and was already able to win an U10 tournament at the age of 7. After winning the Kremlin Cup as a 13-year-old, he was invited to the IMG Academy . In 2015 and 2016 he won the Orange Bowl , one of the most important tennis tournaments for juniors, and was only the third player to ever defend his title at this tournament. At the US Open 2016 , he made it to the final in the individual competition. There he was clearly defeated 3: 6, 0: 6 to the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime . In November of the same year he was number 1 in the junior world rankings .
Professional tour
Kecmanović played his first tournaments on the ITF Future Tour at the age of 15 and played his first final at the age of 16. So far he has won three single and one double titles on the Future Tour. He won his first individual title on the second-rate Challenger Tour in October 2017 in Suzhou . He made it into the final without losing a set by beating the former top 100 player Radu Albot 6: 4, 6: 4 in two sets. His best place in the world rankings to date is 118th place.
