The Chengdu Open 2019 was a tennis tournament that took place in Chengdu from September 23-29, 2019 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2019 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Zhuhai Open was played in Zhuhai , which, like the Chengdu Open, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

The qualification took place from September 21 to 22, 2019. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
