Kamil Majchrzak (born January 13, 1996 in Piotrków Trybunalski ) is a Polish tennis player .

Career

Kamil Majchrzak celebrated his first major successes as a junior. In 2013 he and his partner Martin Redlicki won the junior doubles competition at the US Open . He defeated Quentin Halys and Frederico Ferreira Silva in the final 6: 3, 6: 4. A year later he won the gold medal in the individual and the bronze medal in the mixed competition at the Summer Youth Olympic Games .

On the professional tour, Majchrzak mainly plays on the Future and Challenger Tour. So far, he has won seven singles and five doubles on the Future Tour.

He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in 2017 in Antalya . After he had successfully played his way through the qualification, he lost in the first round against Andreas Seppi in two sets.

Majchrzak has been playing for the Polish Davis Cup team since 2015. In 2016, he faced the German Davis Cup team in the relegation to the world group . There he achieved a respectable success when he won against number 59 in the world rankings Florian Mayer in four sets. In the end, the Polish team had to admit defeat 2: 3 and thus missed promotion to the world group.

He won his first singles title on the Challenger Tour in 2019. In March he celebrated his first title win in Saint-Brieuc , and in May he had another title in Ostrava with a clear final victory. He then achieved his best position in the world rankings to date with 115th place .
