Maxime Janvier was already successful as a junior and was able to win first tournaments. In 2013 he took part in the French Open , the Wimbledon Championships
and the US Open , although he only made it into the second round at the US Open. 2014 he was awarded again for the French Open a wild card , but as last year failed in the first round. His best placement is a combined 35th place from January 2014.
Janvier played the first tournaments on the ITF Future Tour in 2013 . Just a year later he was able to win his first title there in both singles and doubles. So far he has celebrated six titles in singles and five in doubles. On the ATP Challenger Tour , he had to wait a little longer for initial successes. Until October 2016, he never got past the round of 16. In Casablanca he was able to qualify for the main draw and surprisingly made it into the final. There he met the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas , who had already been in a Challenger final a week earlier. Janvier didn't give his opponent a chance, clearly prevailed 6: 4, 6: 0 and was able to celebrate his first title on the Challenger Tour. In August 2017, he achieved his best ranking with 228th place in the world rankings.
