Christopher Benjamin Rungkat (born January 14, 1990 in Jakarta ) is an Indonesian tennis player .
Career
Christopher Rungkat was able to celebrate his first successes in the junior division. Together with Henri Kontinen , he was able to win the junior double title at the French Open in 2008. After Kei Nishikori, he was only the second Asian winner of the junior double title. In the same year he was again with Kontinen in the junior finals of the US Open . There, however, he had to admit defeat to Nikolaus Moser and Cedrik-Marcel Stebe in three sets.
On the professional tour, Rungkat is mainly active in the lower-class tournaments of the Future and Challenger Tour. On the Future Tour, he has already won eleven single and 35 double titles. He celebrated his first success on the Challenger Tour with his partner Ruan Roelofse in Lisbon in 2017 . In the final he defeated the local heroes Frederico Gil and Gonçalo Oliveira in two sets. His second title in Winnetka followed a month later .
Rungkat made his debut on the ATP World Tour in 2017 . With a wildcard he started in Lyon on the side of Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in a double field. They lost their opening match against the Australian duo Nick Kyrgios and Matt Reid in three sets. With 91st place, Rungkat achieved his best placement in the double world rankings in November 2018 .
Rungkat has played for the Indonesian Davis Cup team since 2007 . He has a single balance of 23:12 and a double balance of 14: 5.
