The Tata Open Maharashtra 2020 was a tennis tournament that took place in Pune from February 3rd to 9th, 2020 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2020 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Córdoba Open was played in Córdoba and the Open Sud de France in Montpellier , which, like the Tata Maharashtra Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Kevin Anderson was the defending champion in the singles. Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won doubles last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place on February 1st and 2nd, 2020. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
