The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2020 was a tennis tournament that took place in Doha from January 6-11, 2020 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2020 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the ATP Cup was played in Australia , which was held for the first time this year.

Last year's individual winner was Roberto Bautista Agut . David Goffin and Pierre-Hugues Herbert won the last event in doubles .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles received a bye in the first round.

The qualification took place on January 4th and 5th, 2020. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
