The Argentina Open 2020 was a tennis tournament of the ATP Tour 2020 in Buenos Aires , which was played outdoors on clay from February 10th to 16th, 2020. In the same week the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was played in Rotterdam and the New York Open in New York City . The former was in the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the tournaments in Buenos Aires and New York were in the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion was Marco Cecchinato in the singles. Máximo González and Horacio Zeballos won doubles last year .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles received a bye in the first round. The total prize pool was $ 611,420; total financial liabilities were $ 696,280.

qualification

The qualification took place from February 9th to 10th, 2020. Four places were played that entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There were also two lucky losers.
