ProjeX-DB is a database for the systematic recording of large-scale plant projects from the Vogel Communications Group , which primarily focuses on the chemical, pharmaceutical and process engineering industries in order to facilitate the search for large-scale plant projects.

history

The database is a product of the journal Process . The previous platform GROAB , which was started in 2004 on the basis of the project information published in Process, has been rebuilt and thematically expanded. The platform was then restarted in April 2019 under the name ProjeX-DB .

Functions

ProjeX-DB provides information about current major projects, roughly divided into brownfield and greenfield projects. The projects are further divided into project phases, such as:

Letter of intent (Letter of Intent, LoI / Memorandum of Understanding, MoU) Final investment decision (Final Investment Decision, FID), project management -Kontraktor (Project Managing Contractor, PMC), (pre-) front-end engineering design (FEED) , Engineering, procurement and construction phase (EPC), commissioning and operation.

In addition, the projects are divided into location, client / operator, category, value in millions of dollars, capacity and last update. The subdivisions are expanded by individual filter options. The projects are fed in by companies around the world and by the specialist medium Process .

In addition to the project phases, the project pages themselves also contain general information about the project, a map, an overview of the most important companies involved, the stakeholders with contact options and an overview of the project history. The projects can be downloaded to enable work without internet access. To simplify the workflow, you can subscribe to relevant projects via mailing alarm.
